HELPING TO CREATE GOOD-PAYING JOBS
Anthony wants to create jobs and opportunity here in California by raising wages, ensuring equal pay for women and fighting income inequality. He’ll also work to help local small and medium-sized businesses thrive and create more jobs. As our Assembly Member, Anthony worked to keep entertainment jobs in our area and wrote a workforce needs assessment to determine how to bring the jobs of the future to California.

STANDING UP FOR OUR KIDS AND OUR SCHOOLS
As a public school parent, Anthony understands that fully funding our local schools is a top priority. That’s why he led efforts to ease California’s teacher shortage and stood up to legislators who tried to cut education funding. His work to increase access to student financial aid helped put college within reach for many families in our state. These are just some of the many reasons California’s teachers and educators have endorsed Anthony.

STRONG PROGRESSIVE ON KEY ISSUES
Anthony is a strong progressive who shares our community’s values. Unlike his opponent, he strongly supports a woman’s right to choose and is a vigorous advocate for protecting our environment from pollution. Anthony took on the NRA to get deadly weapons off our streets and will work for sensible gun safety laws. He’s a trusted ally of the LGBTQ community who has led the San Gabriel Valley HIV Action Summit for the past nine years.

MAKE SACRAMENTO MORE ACCOUNTABLE
Anthony is a leader in the fight to bring more accountability and transparency to state government. In the Assembly, he stood up to the special interests and fought to end secret backroom budget deals. Anthony knows it’s best to lead by example. That’s why he turned down a pay raise and refused taxpayer-funded perks like a “free” district car. When flying, Anthony even took office supplies as “carry-ons” to save shipping costs!
